The Corporate Services arena provides support services and functional expertise to GEDA and is responsive to the needs of all its stakeholders whist ensuring effective and efficient management of GEDA. It provides strategic leadership to GEDA through interpretation of legislation and regulations, formulating organisational policies and rendering operational and procedural support to GEDA.

The Corporate Services Department takes the lead in key areas of the Agency's business such as investors in people, efficiency planning, ICT planning, quality and process improvement, policy formulation, legal services & ethics and security risk and property management. It also provides the support, guidance and expertise relating to personnel management, learning and growth and administrative services, for the Agency’s business units. We provide facilities and support services to GEDA’s staff and various stakeholders. An array of specialised services is rendered to the agency to ensure that employees can conduct their business in a comfortable and pleasing environment where logistical support is rendered.

The Corporate Services Department encompasses units responsible for management of human resources, legal services, information technology systems & support and planning and monitoring of facilities and security services.

Corporate Services’ mandate is to attract, train, develop and retain people who will contribute to the realisation of GEDA’s strategic goals through efficient and effective management. Critical to the success of GEDA’s mission is the creation of strategic capabilities (i.e. Human Resource Management, Information and Communication Technology, Legal Services and Security Risk and Property Management) to implement projects in collaboration with other stakeholders and to promote a policy and regulatory environment that supports economic development, trade and investment and affords adequate security of life and other tangible and intangible assets.

Integrated Human Resources Management
The primary purpose of Integrated Human Resources Management key activities is to create strategic human resource capability in GEDA, in order for GEDA to achieve its strategic goals. This will be achieved through the attraction, retention and growth of people and the creation of an organisational culture and climate that fosters creativity and innovativeness.
Information and Communications Technology
To identify, procure and implement scalable ICT systems and solutions that enable GEDA to achieve its mandate through efficient business operations. Furthermore, to create an awareness of how ICT can be applied and utilised in different business contexts. To position ICT as a relevant business partner that acts as an advisor to GEDA’s core business units.
Legal Services
To provide a sound legal services unit that enables GEDA to operate within a framework underpinned by ethics and values.
Security Risk and Property Management
To develop and implement a security risk policy framework underpinned by the values in the Minimum Information Security Standards (MISS) document and to design, implement and monitor security strategies that will protect life and other assets of GEDA.
